We choose our approach based on the individual specs of any specific project. LLM assisted development still requires a lot of tweaking and oversight to ensure the code is free of bugs and production ready. Depending on the complexity of the back-end and visual specs of the front-end, sometimes it still makes sense to use a low-code app builder such as bubble to bring an app MVP to life. For websites, we find it easier and less redundant to build within a visual interface such as Webflow, while using AI-assisted dev for any functionality not available through webflow. Often, we are using a hybrid of low-code tools and ai-assisted development when it comes to our website and app builds. However, recently, we are moving more towards the AI-assisted custom development aspect of things for application builds, especially when they have an ambitious long term vision and feature set.
